My Family

I have been married to Susan, my first and only wife and my best friend, for close on 50 years! We have three adult children.

Our older daughter has a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is married, has three boys and a girl, and works as a lawyer in a corporate law firm in New York

Our younger daughter has a teaching degree from Skidmore College, and a master's degree in education from the University of Colorado. She is married and has two sons. She is a teacher in Boulder, Colorado.

Our son graduated from Johns Hopkins University, and acquired a master's degree in Resolution Conflict at the Israeli Interdisciplinary Center Graduate School of Government. He lives in China where he teaches English, Social Studies and Drama.

Sailing

I own  a "Hunter 33" sailboat, which I sail mostly in Long Island Sound. Longer voyages have included the British South Coast, the Chesapeake Bay, Rhode Island, and Martha's Vineyard Sound.

I have  chartered sailboats from 36 ft to 45 ft in length in Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Australian Waters.

I have crewed on tall ships, including HMS Endeavour, Mystic Whaler and Hudson Clearwater Sloop. Climbing the masts to furl the topmost sails of these glorious ships is the greatest thrill!

I joined the Mount Kisco Rotary Club in 1999, and have served as Club Treasurer, Director and President. I was selected to lead a Group Study Exchange to South Africa in 2003.

Our club serves both our local community through community events and charitable giving, and contributes funds to international health and education projects in developing countries.
